My Life In Coaching
Greetings from Kildare! I'm not just a coach; I'm a seasoned guide on the fascinating journey of personal and professional development. Originally hailing from Newry Co. Down, my life's path has led me to this point, with over three decades of experience in empowering individuals and groups to achieve remarkable success.
My coaching journey began with the Dromore Diocesan Youth Ministry Team, where I developed and delivered faith-based life skills programs. Two decades of hands-on experience, working within management and alongside diverse educational groups and sports teams, allowed me to fine-tune my coaching and mentoring skills.
My coaching philosophy centres on helping individuals become the best versions of themselves, living with intention and achieving balance across what I call the "I," the "Me," and the "Mine." It's a holistic approach that addresses personal, professional, and interpersonal growth.
I've had the privilege of learning from exceptional mentors, tutors, and managers, and I've seized every opportunity for personal development. From early youth work training to in-depth Enneagram and Leadership studies, not to mention City & Guilds courses in teaching basic skills and counselling in Belfast, I've consistently pursued new knowledge and applied it in my coaching practice.
I firmly believe that our journey towards becoming the best versions of ourselves is an ongoing process. Currently, I'm on the path to earning my BSC in Counseling and Psychotherapy through the IICP College, furthering my commitment to helping others unlock their potential.
As a triathlon enthusiast, one of my prized possessions is a medal earned in Athy, engraved with the motto of the legendary Antarctic explorer, Ernest Shackleton, it reads: "Fortitudine Vincimus—by endurance we conquer." This motto mirrors my life's mantra—never give up and relentlessly seek solutions in the face of challenges. Life, much like a triathlon, is an endurance test, and with the right guidance and mindset, we can conquer any obstacle that comes our way.
